Phatšoane will be LeFA’s first match official to officiate at the global multisport event.

This after recently officiating the Confederation Cup final between Raja Casablanca of Morocco and Algeria’s JS Kabyile in Cotonou, Benin last Saturday.
''We wish him a good tournament and are confident that he will do us proud like he did in recent years, officiating big games and tournaments in the continent and globally,'' he said.

Phatšoane recently officiated the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Super Cup featuring champions Cup champions Esperance of Tunisia and Egypt's Confederation Cup title holders Zamalek.
This continental showpiece was played in the Middle East, Qatar where the 2022 World Cup will be held.
Referees Coordinator, Mohau Sentšo said Phatšoane's appointment is a clear signal that the standard of the refereeing in Lesotho is on track.

“Mr Phatšoane is a trendsetter in Lesotho for having been the first Mosotho match official to officiate at the highest level, his achievements motivate upcoming match officials who look up to him as a role model.
