Rabale opens up after joining Sundowns
Mehalalitoe’s captain Boitumelo Rabale
According to the Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) website, -the 24-year old star affectionately known as 'Queen', was unveiled by Sundowns FC last Friday.
This, after a successful spell in the United States of America, where she was named the 2020 Junior College All American National Women's Player of the Year, following her exploits with the Clark and Community College.
Rabale said she was happy to join Sundowns, adding that she had been waiting for the opportunity for a long time.
“I have already started training with the team and the reception I received was very good. Having two of my former teammates from Celtic in the team also made the process a bit easier for me and I am looking forward to a successful journey with the club,”' she also said.
Rabale’s big move to Sundowns has been given the thumps up by LeFA President, King’s Counsel Salemane Phafane KC, who wished the Lesotho captain well on her new journey with the SAFA National Women's League champions.
“We are delighted as LeFA with the developments in Rabale's career as the captain of our women's senior national team, Mehalalitoe. She has been a good ambassador for women football in the country and we wish her success in her new journey with Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies,” he said.

Phafane further showed that the Mehalalitoe skipper has enjoyed a lot of success during her time as captain of Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies and also in the USA where she was also crowned the national women's College Player of the year in 2019, while playing for Lewis and Clark Community College.
Rabale is one of a few Mehalalitoe players who are plying their soccer trade abroad with the likes of Senate Letsie who is also playing her football in the US.
This is likely to rub well in Mehalalitoe's attempts to make an impact in the regional COSAFA women's football.
