Real Madrid have baulked at the idea of signing the Polish international Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich and have withdrawn from negotiations with the German champions, according to Sky in Germany.

The 29-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Bavaria this season, as he has been in previous ones, but the Spanish side have now withdrawn from talks with his representatives, it’s been reported. Munich Chief Executive Karl Heinz-Rummenigge told the well-thought-of publication Kicker that he envisages that the club will keep hold of their attacking focal point for another year at the very least.
