ALL preparations are in place for the Federation of Lesotho Rugby (FLR) to return to action in full swing soon, the body’s Secretary General Litšitso Motšeremeli has said.

“We have already sent our document which stipulates how we intend to return to action to the Lesotho Sports and Recreation Commission (LSRC), so that we will be at an advanced stage when the sports minister gives us the green light to resume playing after the Easter holidays,” he said. Motšeremeli promised that they will do everything in their power to ensure that the teams are ready to get into action when they finally get the go-ahead.

“The FLR had initially planned to commence the Rugby Sevens League in January but our plans were disrupted by the suspension of sports activities when the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic hit the country after the Christmas holidays.

“But we will take things from where the pandemic stopped us and start our Rugby Sevens tournament as we had earlier planned,” he noted.

On another note, the federation will be heading for the elective conference on April 17, with the incumbent President Fetang Selialia set to contest for the position against Moleleki Moleleki and Letsielo Mabitle.
