LESOTHO-born head coach of Lamontville Golden Arrows, Lehlohonolo Seema gave credit to his players following their 3-1 DStv Premiership victory over Marumo Gallants on Sunday.

The victory was a first in seven games for the side as they finally managed to hold onto a lead, something that has been a real issue for the team.

“Credit to the players, they worked hard, they grinded and they left everything on the field of play,” Seema said. “What is more important is that we took a lead and we managed to defend it until the last minute.

"That thing that we are thinking we can't do – to defend to the end of the game. This shows that we can. We know scoring goals is not going to be a problem, but our Achilles heel has been that we are not defending well.

"We came up against very difficult opponents and it was a difficult match.”

The win is a second of the season for the team in the league and moves them up to fifth place. They are next in action at home to Mamelodi Sundowns on October 20. Premier League News
