Vodacom demonstrates resilience in its digital infrastructure
In its Financial Year (FY)2025/26 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, Vodacom Lesotho has revealed that the company continued to expand the reach and resilience of its digital infrastructure, achieving 99 percent 4G coverage across Lesotho through 350 4G sites and 267 rural connectivity sites.
The company also accelerated the rollout of next-generation technology, expanding its 5G footprint from zero to 86 sites, while improving digital access through device subsidies, smartphone financing, personalised offers and zero-rated services such as ConnectU.
Covering the financial year ended 31 March 2026, the report forms part of Vodacom Group’s FY2025/26 ESG reporting and demonstrates Vodacom Lesotho’s contribution to the Group’s purpose-led agenda of empowering people, protecting the planet and maintaining trust.
The report has presented a comprehensive account of the company’s success in advancing digital and financial inclusion, enabling socio-economic development, strengthening environmental stewardship and maintaining high standards of responsible and trusted business conduct.
