MASERU - Three Lesotho nationals are due to appear before the Welkom Magistrate’s Court in South Africa sometime this week in connection with the alleged fatal stabbing of another man at a local tavern.

Basotho nabbed in Welkom
The men aged between 20 and 28 were arrested last week Tuesday by members of the Welkom Crime Prevention Unit after they had received a tip-off about the murder.
The victim who reportedly died on the spot is alleged to have sustained multiple stab wounds on both the head and face.

The arrest meanwhile adds to a list of previous other Lesotho nationals who were arrested and tried in the Free State Province recently.
The latest was a 30-year-old man who was arrested by the Ficksburg police after he was last week found in possession of 20 bags of dagga with an estimated street value of M664 000.
