MASERU - The crown in a case in which four members of the Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) are accused of the murder of former Lesotho Electricity Company (LEC) Head of Internal Audit, Thibello Nteso, on Tuesday submitted three witnesses' statements which were in turn admitted as part of evidence.

Nteso’s murder case continues

The statements included ballistic and scene of crime reports together with the statements of two police officers who arrested the accused. The Crown also submitted an empty shell and a dead bullet collected from the crime scene, which were accordingly marked as exhibits.
The court was afterwards informed that the defense is yet to consult an expert following pathology evidence which was led by the Crown.
The case was as a result postponed to Thursday in order to allow the defense time to consult the expert.

The accused include Police Constables Dlamini Moeketsi and Monaheng 'Musi together with Superintendent Tlala Phatela and Senior Inspector Thaele Ramajoe.
They are charged with the murder of Nteso which allegedly occurred in Maseru West near the LEC flats on February 6, 2017.
The case is before Justice Moroke Mokhesi.
