THE 10th meeting of the first session of the 10th parliament of the Senate will resume on Tuesday October 13, the Senior Clerk of the Senate Selete Molete has announced.

According to Mr Molete, the meeting is expected to commence at 10am.
This announcement was made according to Section 14 (2) of the Regulations of the Senate of Lesotho.
The Senate is the upper chamber of the Parliament of Lesotho, which along with the National Assembly being the lower chamber constitute the legislature of Lesotho.
The current Senate has a total of 33 members, 22 of them are hereditary tribal chiefs and 11 are nominated by His Majesty the King on the Prime Minister's advice.

The Principal Chief of Matsieng Chief Seeiso Bereng Seeiso

The nominated members serve five-year terms.
’Mamonaheng Mokitimi is the current President of the Senate.
She succeeded the Principal Chief of Matsieng Chief Seeiso Bereng Seeiso.
