MASERU - Speaker of the National Assembly, Sephiri Motanyane has come out with guns blazing this week, calling the last Thursday brawl in parliament that left two legislators injured a disgrace that needs to be investigated.

Mr Motanyane said the bloody scuffle had tarnished the image of Lesotho, hence, it needed to be condemned in the strongest possible means.

Mr Motanyane has among others described the incident as a criminal act which warranted a detailed police investigation.
“There is a video footage of the incident and anyone who is found guilty will be held accountable,” he said, adding the matter had since been referred to the privileges committee for investigations.
The free-for all broke out over a disagreement on how to formulate the new wool and mohair regulations.
