This was revealed in the statement released on Friday following LeFA’s national executive committee’s meeting the same day.
The NEC resolved in that meeting to extend the 2019/2020 football season until July 31, due to the prevailing coronavirus outbreak.
In its statement, LeFA expressed its commitment to finding ways of resuming the 2019/2020 football season that was suspended in March due to coronavirus pandemic and ensuring that all domestic matches are played as soon as it is safe to do so.
The association also called on players and referees to commence with their individual training as means to complete the 2019/2020 season are being explored.
“The clubs are advised to ensure that their players adhere to strict measures of individual training as any player who is registered with any club that participates in any of the leagues under the auspices of LeFA will be suspended indefinitely for breaking the directives of the association,” LeFA said.
