Vodacom Premier League returns with a bang
Matlama in a past league match against Lioli
Big guns Bantu, Matlama and Lioli all got off to a flying start to maintain their impressive run since the start of the 2020/2012 season.
Both Bantu and Matlama registered 3-0 victories over LMPS and Swallows respectively to clinch their fifth wins in a row.
The two teams are tied at 15 points at the top of the table, but Bantu take the top spot on better goal difference.
Third-placed Lioli were also ruthless beating rookies Manonyane 6-1 in a match played at the Maputsoe DIFA Ground on Sunday.
There was also a moment of magic for Matlama’s attacking midfielder Jane Thabantšo, who scored the fastest goal in the Lesotho Premier League having netted just 10 seconds into the match with Swallows.
The record was previously held by Refiloe Mothae of LCS, who scored 18 second into the match against Kick4Life during the 2015/2016 season.
The Likuena and Matlama winger is also the holder of the fastest goal for the COSAFA Cup having made history at the 2016 edition of the tournament, when he netted on the 34th second as Likuena clinched a 3-0 win over Mauritius.
